14 pole dance moves
A while ago we did a pole challenge with awesome and beloved Tjasa Skubic.
What’s interesting is that she has some ”je ne sais quoi” energy. Her pole moves – even the simplest ones – have gentle energy, sashay, kind of French aristocratic touch, so no wonder she has over 100K Insta followers.
Do you know her already?
Anyways, for the challenge she hosted, she prepared 14 intermediate pole dance moves and tricks. Certain moves used to be advanced but as a pole community evolves so quickly, they soon became intermediate.
But never mind the classification! As you probably know that what can be easy and very beginner-like for you, could be super advanced for your pole sister. And vice versa!
Challenge for you
Below you’ll find 14 images – 14 pole moves from the challenge to make it more clear and structured.
We also made a compilation of all the moves in a video format. BTW – here’s some shameless promotion of our YouTube channel – so feel free to subscribe 🙂
Day 1 – Shoulder Mount
Day 2 – Pole split – any kind
Day 3 – Allegra
Day 4 – Pole handstand
Day 5 – Thinker
Day 6 – Remi sit
Day 7 – Vortex
Day 8 – Butterfly
Day 9 – Spider
Day 10 – Table top
Day 11 – Favorite flexibility move
Day 12 – Ayesha
Day 13 – Teddy
Day 14 – Jade
Not all the moves are taped in a video format.
So here’s the challenge:
The moves that are not in the video, try to figure out how Tjasa accomplished them. Let this be the challenge – in case you’re not familiar with the moves, of course.
And if you are?
Then try to do the moves with your personal touch. Find your X-Factor and incorporate it into your dance.
And then tell me – or better still – show me how it went. And follow Boomkats for a daily dose of inspiration.
We want your ideas!
Are there any tricks or moves you would like to include in our next challenge?
Are you fond of any move in particular?
Just let us know and we’ll try to do our best to include your favorite moves the next time.
